Tuesday 22nd July starting at 19.30 – Brett Fletcher has arranged the Friends Meeting House, Church Street, Huddersfield HD1 4TR (“Google” it for how to get there)
David Browning will lead the early discussion by developing some of the ideas on food projects that we discussed at the last meeting and exploring the future potential of the Kirklees allotments strategy.
We will also discuss the possibilities for the Transition Town “awareness event” which we plan to run with Kirklees Environmental Partnership possibly on a Saturday in October. Finally, we will start to address the question “how to start a Transition Community” that has now been asked by people from several local neighbourhoods in the town and its environs.
There will be a couple of copies of the Transition Handbook* (essential, broad ranging and readable) for sale at the next meeting, and also a copy available to borrow on the understanding that it is brought (or posted) back in time for the next meeting.
